Why do some people enjoy scary movies and others don't?
Is there a difference between being brave and enjoying gore? Exploring a few ideas about what makes a person tough and what is just personal preference.
I think it depends on your view of life and how you see the world. As a realist, I am not attracted to or entertained by terror, horror, or fear, because I know that they are very real things. Take ISIS/ISIL, for example. So I don't have a desire to indulge in fictional narratives that portray those types of things. There is too much of that stuff going on already.
