Warriors and Princesses

Ever notice how little boys almost always pretend to be warriors of some kind and girls usually pretend to be princesses?

But has it ever occurred to you that they never "outgrow" those fantasies?

Men still like to think of themselves as warriors. And women still tend to think of themselves as royalty. Some things just don't change with time.

Simply put, it’s in our genes. We, like most mammals live in very protective family units. Males tend to be territorial in regards to a large space where they domain to provide adequate food supplies open for their females and offspring. Plant a tree too close to the boundary line with your neighbor and watch him cringe. Females are less territorial when it comes to this large landscape, but if you ever find yourself in a woman’s bedroom, well, what do they say? The best way to fight your woman is with your hat, grab it and run!

In short, males protect the females and hold them precious as without them, there will be no future generations. There will always be more males to continue the species, but females are only fertile for so long. It’s all about survival of the species, and like the man says “you and me ain’t nothin’ but mammals…”

The female warrior clarification made me smile. Thank God he caught that on his own. I'd be happy witha Princess as long as she came with a trust fund...
