As long as the government stays out of things that's really all the economy needs to right itself.
(Well, that and no new taxes!)
There is a new Harris Teeter grocery store opening near my neighborhood. To draw attention and customers they sent out coupons in the mail. $10 off a purchase of $50 or more.
About a week later, Farm Fresh, with a store located a few blocks up the street from the new shopping center- sent out their own coupons with the exact same offer.
Coincidence? No.
Government regulated? No.
Effective? Yes.
Government...MYOB!
